Leadership

Pastor Freddie Johnson Jr.

Pastor Freddie Johnson Jr. is a charismatic and gifted man of God who has a calling to bring healing and restoration to those who are brokenhearted. He has been entrusted with the task of preaching the gospel and teaching the Word of God with clarity, power, and authority. Pastor Johnson reaches out to people from all walks of life with the love and compassion of Jesus Christ, and his mission is to help others find hope and purpose in life through a personal relationship with Christ.

Born on March 8, 1983, in Charleston, SC, Pastor Johnson is the son of Freddie Johnson and Annette Johnson. He has five siblings. He met Juanita N. White, who became his wife on March 21, 2008. Together, they are the proud parents of three children: Joy, Josiah, and Jeremiah.

At the age of eighteen, Pastor Johnson accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He joined the Good Hope A.M.E Church, where his grandmother, Apostle Elisha Elizabeth Dupree, was the pastor. Under her leadership, he preached his first sermon on August 24, 2004. Later, he was ordained as the Youth Minister of United Hope Ministries "The Word Church" in February 2010.

On December 27, 2020, he was installed as the pastor of the church. Throughout his ministry, Pastor Johnson has stood on the Word of God, believing that "Greater is He that is in me, than he that is in the world" (I John 4:4). He believes that the community is stronger together and has used his talents to serve the Bowman community through preaching, fellowship, giving, mentorships, and partnerships with local churches and schools.
